International Reference Laboratory
Founded in 1970, Bioscientia (based near Frankfurt and Wiesbaden, Germany) is perhaps the largest purpose-built reference laboratory in Europe with a staff compliment today in excess of 900 professional and technical personnel. With over 25 years experience in the international market, Bioscientia provides a pathology reference service to a wide range of institutions including universities, military and Ministry of Health hospitals, laboratories and pharmaceutical companies world-wide. Due to the high level of technology and computerisation, samples are processed both efficiently and economically. Most results are available within 24 hours from receipt of specimen. They have an extensive molecular cytogenetic division and large laboratory specialising in Hepatitis and HIV diagnostic by PCR and b-DNA as well as offering Chlamydia, HLA typing, Mycobacteria TB and more by PCR. As part of the professional service, Bioscientia also offer specialised and second opinion reports in a wide area of disciplines using a team of resident and associate consultant pathologists.
